Which exam do you need for IIT Indore?
Undergraduate admission to Indian Institute of Technology Indore is through JEE Advanced. Admission is through JEE Advanced, in central India's strongest engineering-entrance coaching market.
What JEE Advanced actually tests
JEE Advanced does not reward recall. Its questions combine several ideas at once and deliberately vary their format between years, so the skill being tested is reading an unfamiliar problem and deciding how to start. That only develops by attempting hard problems and reviewing the approach afterwards, which is why previous year papers matter more here than for any other exam on this site.
Subjects
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Who sits it
Candidates who have qualified JEE Main and are targeting admission to the IITs.
Where JEE Advanced candidates lose marks
- Preparing for it as though it were JEE Main. Main rewards clean execution on standard questions; Advanced rewards working out where to begin on a problem you have not seen before.
- Ignoring the question type. Multiple-correct questions carry partial credit and negative marking together, so a half-remembered option is far more expensive than it looks.
- Assuming the marking scheme is fixed. It has changed between years, and strategies built around one year's rules can cost marks under another's.
- Practising only the questions you can already start. The ones you stall on are the entire point of the paper.

What this page does not tell you
- No cut-offs, fees, seat counts or rankings. Those change every admission cycle, and a wrong one aimed at someone deciding where to apply is worse than publishing nothing. Read them from IIT Indore's own notification.
- Questivo is not affiliated with Indian Institute of Technology Indore, and offers no admission, counselling or placement service. It is an online practice platform.
- Eligibility and reservation rules are set by the conducting body and the counselling authority, not by this site.
